How to Play FantriX

FantriX is a live challenge game built around real-time matches and player statistics. Your goal is to pick the most influential players and earn points from their live performance to climb the in-app rankings.

1. Choosing a Match

Start by selecting the match you want to compete in. FantriX shows key details to help you decide:

  • The available challenge type, match classification, and entry fee (see Table 1).
  • Both teams’ lineups before kickoff.
  • Recent and previous statistics for every player in the match Recent and previous statistics so you can compare options and choose confidently.

2. Choosing the Challenge Type

  • Global Challenge
Join a random group of five challengers from around the world who are competing in the same match challenge.
  • Private Challenge
Create a private group and invite your friends. The group can include 3 to 5 challengers from inside the app or through an external share link.

After selecting and entering a challenge, FantriX runs a random draw to set the picking order for player selection.

3. Player Selection

Based on the random order FantriX generates, each user selects two players as follows:

First round:

  • User 1 picks their first player
  • User 2 picks their first player
  • User 3 picks their first player
  • User 4 picks their first player
  • User 5 picks their first player

Second round (reverse order):

  • User 5 picks their second player
  • User 4 picks their second player
  • User 3 picks their second player
  • User 2 picks their second player
  • User 1 picks their second player

Once all users finish selecting their players, FantriX moves you directly to the main challenge screen.

4. During the Challenge / Match

Once the referee blows the whistle, FantriX starts tracking every live statistic on the pitch. FantriX updates lineupsautomatically whenever coaches make substitutions, and adjusts challenger rankings in real time.

Points are calculated based on the following:

  • Positive events that award points
Earn points from key actions Such as goals, assists, saves, interceptions, and more (see Table 2).
  • Negative events that deduct points
Lose points from actions Such as fouls, cards, missed chances, turnovers, and more (see Table 2).

Your score updates instantly and appears directly in your total points and on the challenge leaderboard.

Challengers can also use the following features:

Substitution Feature
You can substitute one player during the challenge. Use it at any time—there is no required timing. See details below.

Power Features
Use special abilities that give you additional ways to earn points during the challenge. See details below.

5. End of the Challenge

When the match ends, FantriX determines the winners based on the points earned from the two selected players. FantriX then distributes according to the final standings.

FantriX adds the points you earn in the challenge to your overall account balance, using the scoring method explained below.

Note: FantriX deletes group data automatically 24 hours after the challenge ends.

6. Tips and Strategies to Help You Win

Here are some tips that increase your chances of scoring higher:

  • Pick one consistent performer and one high-upside player to balance steady points with big moments.
  • Do not rush your substitution. Watch the first 10 minutes before you decide.
  • Activate Power Features at the right moments based on the match flow and your expectations.
  • Review previous player statistics before you draft.
  • If the match looks open and attacking, prioritise midfielders and forwards.
  • If the match looks tight or between two strong teams, defenders and goalkeepers often deliver strong points.
  • Use the Freeze feature on the most active opponent player to limit their impact on the leaderboard.

Rules

1.    Match Classification and Entry Fees

Match classification reflects how difficult the matchup is. FantriX determines it based on:

  • Each team’s performance throughout the season.
  • Both teams’ league standings
  • The match venue.
  • Whether the match is a derby or a classic rivalry.

Challenge Entry Fees:

  • Gold match: 250 coins
  • Silver match: 150 coins
  • Bronze match: 50 coins

Note: Entry fees depend only on the match classification and do not change between Global and Private challenges (see Table 1).

2.    Number of Challengers

  • Global Challenge
    • The random group must include at least 5 challengers.
    • If the group does not reach the required number within the set time, FantriX cancels the challenge.
    • You can try again later when enough participants are available.
  • Private Challenge
    • A Private Challenge must include a minimum of 3 challengers and a maximum of 5.
    • When you create the challenge, you select the target group size.
    • If the challenge does not reach the minimum number of challengers, FantriX cancels the challenge, or you can resend invitations from inside the app or through an external share link.
    • If the minimum is still not met within the given time, FantriX cancels the challenge automatically.

3.    Coin Deduction and Refund

  • FantriX deducts your entry coins immediately when you select and join a challenge.
  •  If the challenge does not reach the minimum number of participants (as explained above), FantriX refunds your entry coins automatically.

4.    Coin Rewards

The number of coins a you earn at the end of a challenge depends on two main factors:

  • Match classification (Gold, Silver, Bronze).
  • Your final ranking in the challenge.

Table 1 shows the exact coin rewards for each challenger based on match classification and final position:

5.  Point Calculation

FantriX calculates your final points at the end of the match (or challenge) by adding up the total points earned by your two selected players during the game. FantriX bases these points on each player’s real in-match statistics. Some events award points, while others deduct points.

Table 2 shows the point values assigned for every statistic, based on the player’s position on the field:

6.  FantriX Point Conversion to User Total Points

After each challenge ends, FantriX calculates your challenge points by totaling the points earned by your two selected players. FantriX then converts these challenge points into user points using the following rule:

  • Every 10 Fantrix points equal 1 user point.
  • FantriX divides your total challenge points by 10, then rounds the result, and adds it to your overall user points balance.

Example:
Challenger X selected the following players in match Y vs Z:

  • Player 1: 79 points
  • Player 2: 142 points
  • Player 3: 17 points

Total challenge points:
 79 + 142 + 17 = 238 points

User points added:
 238 ÷ 10 = 23.8
 Rounded = 24 points

FantriX adds these 24 user points to your total score inside the app.

7.  Substitutions

You can substitute one of your selected players with an available player during the challenge. Use substitutions to react to match events and improve your performance. Substitutions follow the rules below:

  • Number of Substitutions
    • Free or Premium user: 1 substitution
    • Premium Plus user: 2 substitutions
  • Substitution Rules
    • FantriX automatically substitutes a player if their coach takes them off the pitch.
    • You cannot substitute a player who has an active Power Feature.
    • You can make substitutions at any time during the match or challenge.
    • When you choose a replacement, FantriX shows only players not selected by any other challenger in the list.
    • Premium users can restore the original player if they still have a remaining substitution.
    • The replacement player starts scoring from the moment you substitute and does not include any earlier points.
    • If a coach substitutes your player while a Power Feature is active, the Power Feature stays active and transfers automatically to the replacement player.

Example:
If you selected a midfielder who is not performing well, substitute them with a more active player. The new player’s points start counting from the moment you make the substitution.

8.  Power Features

Power Features help you maximize your points from in‑match statistics. Each Power Feature runs for a fixed activation duration and follows the rules below.

  • Activation Duration
    • Free and Premium users: 7 minutes
    • Premium Plus users: 10 minutes
  • Usage Rules
    • You can use each feature once per challenge.
    • Some features are free, while others require 100 coins or watching an ad.
    • You can have only one Power Feature active on a player at the same time.
    • Some features apply to all stats for a player, while others apply only to specific stats or positions.
    • You can activate features at any time. If you activate a feature before kickoff or during halftime, FantriX starts the timer at the beginning of the half.
    • Natural stoppages  (such as water breaks or VAR reviews) do not pause the timer.
  • Types of Power Features
    • Double Points (Free)
      • Double all stats earned by  your selected player during the activation period (2x).
    • Freeze (Free)
      • Apply Freeze to an opponent’s player  to stop all positive and negative stats for that player during the activation period.
    • Pass Master (Paid)
      • Triple all passing-related statistics during the activation period (3×).
    • Sharpshooter (Paid)
      • Triple all attacking-third statistics (3x)
      • Applies only to midfielders and forwards.
      • Attacking-third stats include shots on target, dangerous attacks, penalties, offsides, and more.
    • Defensive Rock (Paid)
      • Triples all defensive-third statistics (3x).
      • Applies only to goalkeepers and defenders.
      • Defensive-third stats include interceptions, defensive blocks, fouls committed, clearances, and similar actions.

9.  Tiebreaker Rules

If two challengers finish with the same total points in any prize positions (first, second, or third), FantriX treats both challengers as winners of that position. FantriX then places the next challenger directly into the following position after the shared rank.

Example:

Challenge results:

  • Challenger A: 200 points
  • Challenger B: 200 points
  • Challenger C: 150 points
  • Challenger D: 100 points
  • Challenger E: 80 points

Challengers A and B are tied, so both are winners of first place.
Challenger C becomes second place since it follows the shared first position.
Challenger D becomes third place after second.

Final standings:

  • First place (shared): A, B
  • Second place: C
  • Third place: D
